Regarding honey, the breeder I got Cesar from recommends putting a drop of
honey daily in the drinking water.  She's been breeding for 30 years and sends
all new owners home with that as part of the instructions.  Then, on Cesar's
first visit to the vet, I showed him all of the instuctions and was told they
were OK. I no longer do it daily but still put a drop of honey in his drinking
water on occasion.

Bees are natural.  It hurts to get stung.

Just because something is natural does not make it safe for humans or dogs
