I agree 100%!!! I've learned my lesson with vaccinating one of my chi's and
I'm totally against getting them vaccinated after all their puppy vaccines. I
only get the Rabies because of the requirement by law. You're also correct
about it varying by state, I believe it is different for each state.
Unfortunately, I don't get out of Delaware much :-)--- On Thu, 8/28/08, Marsha

rabies shots varies from state to state. Some still require yearly.Luckily, I
live in an area, that despite LAW, there is no enforcement! ! INEVER give a
rabies shot. My chis are never in a position to come incontact with a rabid
animal, so I do not see the sense in risking it. Asfor other vacines, I give a
full round of puppy shots, excluding thelepto. After all the puppy shots have
been given, I do not vacinate again.I do not give adult shots unless I happen
to get an adult with aquestionable vacination history. I think the puppy vacs
protect them muchlonger than vets would have us to believe. I do think puppy
vacs areneeded, but I do not think yearly vacs afterwards is a good
idea.Marsha> The best advice is, before vaccinating your pup for anything, get>
