That would be wonderful. I just know it doesn't work that way up here in
Canada. Only emergency, like life or death surgery is done from the ERs.
At least here in Ontario.

I DO hope it works out for her the way she wants it.

Only you and God know your heart.

Not true. When I had my gall bladder problems, I was scheduled for surgery
but 3 weeks before my surgery, I had a severe attack and they removed the
gall bladder right away.

I hate to disappoint you Sharon, but that's not how it works. When you are
in an attack there is an infamatory process going on and they won't do
surgery while that is happening. They will treat you and when you are well
they do the surgery.

Sheila, I know the surgery is pretty much a snap, and that I will feel loads
better afterwards. Being agoraphobic, I can't get to a doctor (I haven't
seen a doctor in many years). The only way I can think of to get my gall
bladder removed is to show up at the ER during a gall bladder attack and
HOPE they will do the surgery right then. Plus, I have to do this on my own
I have to work up enough courage to leave my home for the first time in
over 10 years, actually get in the ambulance, go to the hospital, and let so
many strangers touch me. NO ONE has touched me in many, many years. ALL of
these things I have to do scare me senseless. Even so, after 11 years of
gall bladder attacks, I MUST gather everything inside me and get to the
hospital. However, there's a chance they won't do the surgery - that they
will simply refer me to a doctor and send me back home. I PRAY they don't,
but they might.

Sharon,
That book is just precious. My daughter Elizabeth had her
gallbladder removed last summer when she was only 19. She is 5'2" and weighs
105. She had been in pain quite a while. She had it removed thru a
laproscope and had over 200 stones in her gallbladder. She sure felt better
right away.

This is a little something I made. I'm trying to build myself up mentally
to be able to go to the ER and HOPE they will remove my gall bladder when I
get there. I made this little book for a bit of inspiration.
