I agree with all of you! My last dog, a 120 pound Malamute shepherd mix, died in my arms in the back yard gasping for breath. All because my vet (who I no longer patronize) would not come out to help him and me. In my hour of need, I was forced to call vet after vet in the phone book. One eventually said they'd come out, but my boy died before she got there. I think my being there with him comforted him as he went on his next journey, but I still feel I failed him.
