Thanks to all of you for your prayers and good wishes for my family in Galveston. Today, I talked to another woman from Galveston, a friend of my sister's, she also lost everything and can't bring herself to even go look at Galveston. although she did drive around the mainland yesterday. The horrid's of hurricane Ike continue for my family in the clean up that
must be done in my beloved hometown of Galveston. We were fortunate enough to
find a work crew to hire to gut the house, so rebuilding can start. Today,
here in central Texas, we are blessed with a beautiful fall day, cool and full
of sunshine. So, Cesar and I sat outside for awhile to gather our strength,
to go forward, and to enjoy the moment. I took this photo of my boy, Cesar,
who is such a joy to me.
