My Minnie used to get diarrhea when I used to mix canned dog food with
her kibble. If I put even a little too much canned food, she was off and
running. She also would get it if I gave her any food with lamb in it.
My sister was having trouble with her 2 little dogs too. She started
putting tuna, like I do, into their kibble and her dogs are doing as
good as mine do, now. I think the canned dog food has too much fat,
which is hard to digest, so their system produces more acid to break it
down and gives them diarrhea or loose stools. I have not had to take
them to the vet to have anal glands cleaned either.
