Have you tried to put them in different crates side by side and maybe cover them with a light blanket or towel. Fiona has started protesting when in the crate, so I give her a treat if she is quiet and it has helped a lot. As for the marking. I'd put a diaper on him or one of those belly bands. Is he neutered? That will help with the marking as well. Sorry I can't be more help.

okay so i have a male he weighs 10lbs and he is very stalky this is not
the problem my dogs are healthy and fed and we play with them as often
as we can. we have children and my family has always had chihuahuas.
the problem is my male dog squirt (when put in his cage for bed)
attacks the cage viciously.now my female (piddle)whom he is very
dominant over makes me feel so bad but she wont sleep in a cage by
herself they both cry if seperated but he is also mean to her he takes
up the whole cage and growls at her and makes her lay the way he wants
her (yes they have a had a litter together) it doesnt matter who puts
him in the cage he is still mean. when out he is fine except he
urinates on everything whetehr in the house or outside virtually
causeing us to not be able to have them inside except for a few minutes
at night before bed and to go in their cage.i feel bad never have had
this problem before and cant afford to replace the carpet or tiles in
this house.im out of ideas. please if you have any info let me know
