Thanks for the reassurance!? I really struggled with the choice of bringing this Chi baby into our household, mainly because of its potential impact on my other babies.? I'm scheduled to get her in 2 weeks.? I'll let you know how it goes!
Your IG is really tiny.? My 1st and only other IG, who we all loved so much and who passed away on Jan.2 of this year, was 18 lbs.? I know, she was a fatty.? Something snapped in her brain several years before she died when she was being watched by a family member when we were on vacation.? After that time she had a voracious appetite and would scarf up her food in a nano-second.? The weight didn't kill her.? The vet determined she had a tumour in her neck which caused neurological problems such as dragging of her front paws.? She died at age 13 which was way too short for us.? We loved her dearly and will never not have an IG in our pack. How many chi's do you have? Bringing in a chi this young to be raised with the older ones, you will not have a problem out of the chi...you may sometimes have a problem bringing an older chi into an established family, but not one this young. Chis love other dogs..especially other chis, but realy, any dog that is part of their familiy, is one of their own. The only thing you should have to worry about would be how your older dogs will react. BTW, I also have an IG. She is 6 pounds and is the only IG in the chi household...she thinks she is a chi, and we aint telling her any different, lol Marsha > --- In [email protected], "tiating18" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> I am buying a new chi puppy (10 weeks) and already have a 10 month > old >> italian greyhound (10 lbs.) and a 6 month old chinese crested (7 > lbs.) >> New chi is projected to be 3-3 1/2 lbs.
