Hi. Yes, Dora is extremely tiny for an IG. I love her to death, but in all honesty, would never have another IG. The potential for injury is to great for me! about a year and a half or so ago, she broke her leg. Took a year to fully heal and $3,600 in vet bills which we are still paying for :-(But, I wouldn't take a million for her :-)
The way she came to us, was I had taken one of my chis to be bred to another ladies chi. That lady raises chis and IG's and she had one IG left in the litter and winter was comming on and Dora couldn't stay outside and she wanted to get her into a home asap, so she gave her to me, lol. She is AKC registered and everything, but she just gave her to me so she would get into a home. I had never seen one before! When Dora broke her leg, the breeder footed the first vet bill of $300!! She is a great lady! Anyhow, back to chis, lol.....I have 8 in my home and 4 at moms. A pic of Dora is attached :-) Marsha > Thanks for the reassurance!?
