I use a regular litter box, has a lower front than back, at first I tried using the litter they sell to use in it (little green pellets) but Cesar, who was a baby at the time, decided he wanted to eat some and then throw the rest all over the room.? So, I threw away the bag of pellets and ?instead, lined?the box?with newspaper and it worked fine.? I took?the sheet of newspaper and sopped up some of Cesar's urine onto it and put it in the box.? I only had to do this twice, almost immediately Cesar sniffed at the paper and used it. At the same time I worked with him to go outside, by taking him out every 20 minutes or so when I was home.? After a few weeks, I learned approximately what time and how often he had to urinate and took him out less often.? He continues to use the box when I am away from home.
