OMG is it really that bad. I feel terrible. I was told by my vet that purina
was good for them. I feel really horrible. What do you suggest everyone. Does
anyone know about nutro.

I agree with you that Purina isn't a good food.  I have read that
it is one of the worst quality dog and cat food brands out there.

I disagree about the Purina puppy chow being a good quality dog food. It really
isn't.

I agree with Marsha. I get breeder kits from eukanuba and purina to send home
with buyers so they can choose the food thats best for them. But me personally
my dogs eat purina puppy chow. The older eat purina small bites. They seem to
enjoy it the most and it is a good quality. Most breeders can get perks from
the companies the more they advertise. Eukanuba offers the most perks. That is
probaby why most breeders prmote it. For free food and gifts. Have any of you
tried Nutro. I have a few friends that like it and was thinking bought trying
it.

I think a lot of it has to do with the support they recieve from the
companies, such as being part of the breeder program, ect. For instance, I
feed my pregnant/nursing momma's and puppies puppy chow. So I am a member
of the puppy chow breeder program....they send me samples and care guides
ect to give to my buyers. BUT, I am also a member of the Eukanuba and
Royal Canine breeders program. They also send me samples and care guides
ect to give out. Each of these programs, and I am sure many other
companies, also include advertisement type stuff, such as stickers and
crate tags, ect, which say things like I feed and recommend bla bla
bla.....

So it is mostly a marketing thing I think. I give several sample brands to
my buyers, but tell them, my pups are weaned on puppy chow.
