Subject: [Chihuahuas] X-mas shopping for doggies!

Hi everyone! I'm in a great mood today - just finished all my holiday
shopping!! I'm usually down to the day before Christmas Eve, so this is a huge
accomplishment for me!

This year my boyfriend and I got both of our Chihuahuas stockings and I wrote
their names on them! SO cute! I have a 7 month old long haired toy named Chloe,
and a 4 yr (not toy) old long haired named Ava. We rearranged things to put up
our tree and ended up moving the mattress into storage & out of our sunroom
(the mattress served as a lounging area with cute sheets and LOTS of throw
pillows). The doggies were noticeably sad about loosing this mattress as it had
become an oversized doggie bed for them. ha! (They just LOVE basking in the sun
on that mattress!) So I got them a big soft doggie pillow-bed for Christmas.
... If any of you are looking for doggie beds I highly recommend Walmart. I got
this one for only $20 and it doesn't seem like a cheaply made one! I think the
dog beds at stores like Petco and Petsmart are cute, but they are REALLY
overpriced.
I also got them their own fleece throw blanket to have with their doggie pillow
(only like $8 at Walmart!) They love to snuggle with blankets :)
For their stockings I got them each 2 new soft doggie toys apiece- the kinds
with squeekers inside that they just adore. & a box of Scooby Snacks to share.

I don't think I went overboard this year :) And it is my littlest chi's first
Christmas, so I wanted to spoil them a bit. My boyfriend and I are expecting
our first child this May, so I feel like I need to give my doggies extra
attention and loves before the baby gets here :)

In year's past when I was short on cash I would bake home made doggie cookies
(I'm sure I'll be doing that again next year when the baby is here!!) The dogs
go crazy for them & they cost next to nothing to make. The receipe makes so
much that I would put some in little baggies, tie with festive ribbon, and give
as gifts to friends who had dogs. They loved it!

What are ya'll doing special for your doggies this year? Anyone like me going
shopping for their doggies :)
