We have been on a budget and not be able to spend lots on treats so I go to the 
store and buy a tub of chicken livers for $2.50 or so
 heres the recipe- 
Wash liver in saucepan drain then add water to cover(good to defrost this way 
also if they were on sale and you froze some)
boil for 4 minutes then drain in cold water..& cut into bite size pieces put on 
cookie sheet bake @200 for 2 hours until dry.
They keep real well in an airtight container and you can actually have in 
refrigerator for several months because ultimately you made jerky! They are 
very rich and I only give a couple for rewards.
