Hi! I didn't have the pup on heart worm meds...just regular worm meds its
little belly was full of worms.....I think I got rid of a lot of them, but
she will need re-wormed next month to make sure...but anyhow, I placed her
yesterday with a 5 year old girl who has spina bifida and is confined to a
wheelchair. I got a lot of replies on the pup, but this was the one I felt
was the best match. And boy was that little girl happy. Her mom emailed me
last night to tell me they had played tugawar on the floor till they were
both wore out, then cuddled together and fell asleep :-) The child had
been taught from an early age to be gentle, and I observed she was. She
had wanted a dog for a long time, but her mom was a fraid a bigger one may
overpower her since she can't walk...and a small breed was too
expensive.....so this was just a match made in heaven! Also, they are
gonna train the pup to retrieve small items for the girl, ect so it can do
some service work. How great!!
