When I was looking for a pup, many breeders told me the desirable look is
the shorter muzzle. I looked at a lot of photos of pups with short and with
long noses and I like the short nose. However, it will be sad if they carry
it
to the extreme, smushed would be the end of the Chihuahua as we now know it.
 I hope it doesn't happen.

I haven't seen any with smushed faces. The show Chis tend to have very
short muzzles compared to "pet quality" Chis, but not smushed like a Pug. I
think the idea of having to shorter muzzles is to keep the apple headed look
and
to have a more prominent stop. Lots of "pet breeders" are going toward the
more deer-like head with a longer muzzle.

I WAS NOTICING MANY CHI'S NOW HAVE A VERY SMUSHED FACE. I PERSONALLY THINK
THIS LOOK IS UGLY. THEY LOOSE THE LOOK OF THE GORGEOUS ORIGINAL CHI'S. WHY DO
PEOPLE TAMPER WITH WHAT IS ALREADY WONDERFUL??
