I need some legal advice. I live in a Mobile Home Park. I own my own mobile
home. I signed a 1 year lease 3 years ago and have not been asked to sign a new
one. The people that own the land are always harrassing people and look for
stuff to gripe about. Anyway, The on the lease I only listed one dog because
that is all we had. I have 4 chihuahuas now. I have had 2 of them for almost 3
years and the other 2 for over a year. No one has ever complained about them.
They are litter box trained so they don't even go outside. I received a letter
Thursday saying that I needed to trim along my driveway when I mow. They taped
the letter to my door and I guess that set my dogs off and they started barking
and all went to the window. Yesterday I received another letter saying that I
have to get rid of all but 1 unless I get written permission to have a 2nd dog.
The lady across the street has 3 dogs and another lady has a house full of
cats. I also have an autistic
son and these dogs have been extremely theraputic for him. Each one offers him
different things. He would be devastated if we lost them. I know there are no
qualifications for therapy pets in Oklahoma. I just feel like no one should be
able to tell me what to do in MY home. If I have any legal rights or can fight
this in any way, I know they would drop the situation. Can anyone help me keep
my babies?
