No matter how concientious we are, accidents do sometimes happen. We are human. I had an accidental when my son put a flagging female out with the other dogs to potty, despite the fact that he should have KNOWN she was seperated at the time for a reason!! I think ANY breeder, who has been breeding for any real legth of time, that tells you they have never had an accidental mating, is most likely lying to you. Dogs escape enclosures, family members don't pay attention, silent heats, lots of things can and do go wrong. I do not believe in kenneling and seperating my dogs...they are all family and they are all together in the house, ect.....so I have to be diligent to keep an eye on when my females are in heat and remove them to an x=pen or put them in my daughter's room or something. If she comes home or wakes up one day with a dog in her bed...she knows why. My son would be clueless and put her back, lol.
