Yep Marsha...I LIKED the idea of moving the furniture around to fit in the 
play-pen so the baby wouldn't be boxed in a kennel for such long hours...I 
think 
using a crate for so many hours could be detrimental in the long run...an X-pen 
or palypen would be a MUCH better option! Just my 2 cents...again...LOL!!!

I wouldn't do a box, but I would certainly do a crate or x-pen. I think all
pups, new additions, ect need to be acclimated to a crate or pen.
Getting them use to it when they are young or new can make a huge difference
down the road. It not only protects them now (and in the
future) but they come to see their crate or pen as their own safe den.....if
used right, they actually like having a place of their own they can go to to
escape stresses.
