Yeah the
shelters here are full of pit bull or pit bull mixes. Some of them are labeled
pit bulls even though they are not. It is amazing how often people mistake
other
breeds for pits

Thank you and I agree I use to not like chihuahua's and now I adore
them and the same with Pitbulls, they use to be one of the best voted
family dog until man came and destroyed it all for them. My friend goes
to
the pound every week to take pictures to try and get these babies adopted
and the 2 most common breeds there are chis and pitbulls.
      thanks

I think that everyone is entitled to there own opionion and say
things with out having people jump down there throws ... Nancy I am
sorry about ur loss of you chi. That had to be very tramatic. We all
have had experiences good and bad that should be shared. I understand
why you haven't forgotten that experience. I lost Angel about a year
ago
and it's all still fresh in my mind. And far and the trainer debate I
think they both have good points and views. I watch me or the dog a
lot... I like most of her advise... And I like that CM works with
pitbulls, I like that he's showing pitbulls in a more positive light!
And showing how great they are... I'm a pitbull lover tooo! I think
they
are a very misunderstod breed! It's not a breed for everyone but a good
        breed!

Thanks Deanna I just got creamed for saying something I
should not of to the lady that her chi had been thowing up - I
clarified it but I am sure that I will be getting emails all day
              long.
I too raised my kids different and guess what they all
came  out wonderful. But sometimes I don't think before I
write something if I am passionate or worried about someone.

PS - love your name as it is my Daughter-in-laws name and I

HI Nancy...I guess I hould have clarified...I am not sure
if THIS group has issues with him...I just know that when I
mention him on other lists I am on people LOVE to attack
me
about his ways...which I think i hilarious...but to each his
own. No one has changed my mind yet and after watching him
personally in action and meeting him I believe he is GREAT!!! I
have "looked" for all the negatives that people claim about
him...never been able to verify one of the "bashing rumors"
that
seem to circulate. As with everything I think it wise to use
your own common sense. But I raised my children in ways
that most people wouldn't buy in this generation either.
Well..anyway I think he has some awesome advice and to be
real honest that lady on "it's me or the dog" (Stillwell?)
really irritataes me...I have no idea why...I guess I just
                really "think" more like CM.

                      Thanks Deanna,
I feel the same way and yes I too disagree with some
but he sure seems to have a lot of huge
success!  I know that he loves each and every dog he
helps. Plus I love how he raises his sons to be
respectful young men and to honor him and their
mother. He started out washing dogs because he believed
in
his gift. He took on the dogs that everyone else wanted
to
                      throw away!
I did not know this group had bad feelings about him,
but I am his fan and have much respect for him. I did
what
he recommended when my Sami was snapping at biting at my
grandkids and it worked and I did not hurt him at
all, but he knew that my grandkids were also leaders of
                      our pack!
                      Love,
                      Nancy and girls

                        HI Nancy!
                        I am a HUGE fan of Cesar's!!! I don't bring him up
much because he sparks controversy...mostly from those
that really don't know his training methods. I think he
is wonderful and I use most of his methods. There are a
                        few that that I don't adopt but I bet there isn't a
trainer out there that has a program that i
would 100%agree with anyway!. He has
done more for educating people on truth about Pit Bulls
than any other human...I think he is great!! I have all
his books and I watch him faithfully. We have visited
his center on a field trip and he amazed me!!! I think
he truley is a dog whisperer!!!

                              Thanks
Rylee, we started last night putting her in her
crate (moved it near me in the living room) each
time she started growling (she wouldn't settle
down on my lap in the evening and would growl at
me whenever I moved her on my lap) and, after
three times of sticking her in her crate for a
while, she finally settled down. In the meantime,
Paco was a total couch potato and didn't care
where I set him. We'll start the classes in a
couple of weeks and hope they help. She even bit
me and drew blood recently when I tried to put
her
in the submissive position after she started
growling. I made myself stick with in once I'd
started, but I'm hoping the crate idea works
better than the submissive thing did. ...thanks
                              again, Annette
