Thanks for sharing this story!!! This is exactly why I do not rehome my
retired breeders. Why can't people understand, YES they get emotionally
hurt!! I currently have two males here that I am rehoming for a fellow
breeder. Been with me almost a week now and if I don't hurry up and rehome
them I am not gonna be able because we are already developing a bond. I
think it is the first time they have ever felt love from a human...they
were kennel dogs. They are so happy here! but I know I can not keep and
care for this many males, so they have to find homes and I will make sure
that the homes they find will love them and treat them they way they
deserve because yes, dogs get heartbroken too.....
