Depending on the dog, some long coats have thicker and longer coats than others.  I think my Emiliano is a medium length long coat.    Gloria       In a message dated 11/3/2010 7:18:07 P.M. I like the look of a longhair however my husband is kind of partial to the short coat. I like either. Are long-haired Chihuahuas able to handle the cold or cool situations better? How are they with sweaters? Do some vary in their adult length & abundance of coat? Is the undercoat shed spring & fall? - like a collie?
