I love that your husband and Ricky are starting to bond.. May I suggest
boiling up some chicken breasts and putting them on a little plate near
hubbies plate so he could give them as treats to Ricky rather than regular
spiced people food. That way Ricky and hubby can bond (because feeding really
does foster bonding) and Ricky will get healthy stuff.

Hi everyone

thought I would share a couple Ricky stories. My hubby is from India. He
was raised without pets and was raised not to have any. In India many many
dogs run the streets starving and are not friendly with people. They are
Strays from birth. They do not have a dog shelter or anything like that I
know of.

For 9 years, my hubby did not want a dog or any pet when I asked. I did
not bother him much about it until I really wanted a dog, and then had to
beggggggggggg for one. I promised him it would be a very small dog and I would
take care of it etc... well he finially gave in! That is when I got Ricky.
Its taken this 3 months, but my hubby really likes Ricky now. He will not
hold him or let him on him, but he does pet his head when Ricky comes to
him for attention. anyway, do you know who spoils him more than me? yup! my
hubby. He always gives him part of what he is eating, drops pieces on the
floor for Ricky. Just see the pictures! See the begging Ricky does?? no
matter how much I ask my hubby not to feed him our food... he does it anyway,
saying look at him, he wants some. LOL I really dont mind. They bond this
way. Please know that I took a picture after each time my hubby gave him a
piece of food. (he only puts the food on the floor).

ohhh and I forgot to say, as most of you know, Ricky is toy crazy...
guards them with his life, etc. After each time Ricky got a bite of food, he
would run into the bedroom to make sure his NEW plush toy was still in his
bed. sooo funny!! He even has taken this toy out for walks with us!! He does
not want to leave it in the house. He carries it and prances along, puts
it down to pee, picks it up and prances some more... and people get a kick
out of seeing him doing this. I mean his toy is almost bigger than he is.
Pic of ricky & his plush toy also included
