In Ohio and PA the Amish are real bad at puppy milling. The auction is close by me and I have literally gone to stop older females from being sold to yet another breeder to squeeze out another litter. Our group took three females last week and the golden was such a sweet lady. She looked as though she had, had a dozen litters. A terrible thing. Ohio is trying to stop dog auctions but it is tough to regulate the Amish. They do as they please. As for the treatment of the dogs, that depends on the farm. But for the most park it is poor conditions. That is where my Grace lost half her foot and tail. Wire cages! I am not a fan of the Amish but I do try to get as many of their dogs as I can.
