Well..this is another hard one...how did she run away you ask??? We were
getting
our first snow of the season...the family went out to shovel...she bolted out
the door...they tried to call her...she wouldn't come to them...I think I
mentioned before she had little to no training...they went looking for her but
she just kept running. They stopped looking for her after about an hour or
two...do ya think any one of us would have stopped after an hour...2?
....10????
I don't care if it was a full on blizzard...i would have not stopped...and I am
a fat, out of shape old lady LOL!!!

And I have to add...it took me 2 seconds to train her "wait" at the door. We
practiced me walking out and having her stay at the threshhold...she got it
fast!! They told me they always have to be careful with her bolting out the
door. She did NOT do that here!!! She had no desire to run out...she just
wanted
to be exactly where I was. We walked up and down our road after a few little
sessions on leash...she learns so quick...she stayed with me with her eyes on
mine through all the paces. She is one smart cookie!!! Plus...i think there was
just some eerie bond...I have never had the emotional tie that quick with a dog!

I really am not trying to bash these people...I KNOW they are so happy to have
her back!!! I know they love her!!!!! They are just in that catagory of
"clueless" dog owners...not bad...not evil...just need to learn some things and
maybe work on priorities...or give her to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!! And
guys...just know I am venting!!! This is worse than I thought it would be
emotionally...but I would have never known how I would feel until I did it...it
was the right thing...she belongs to them...she is not "mine!"  And maybe I
just
have this very self inflated idea of what a "GREAT" dog mom I am...pretty full
of humility are'nt I???

I think she was Valerie...she did seem to know them...I was there about an hour
and she just kept sitting in my lap...she would walk off to go say hello to
them...she knew them...but she kept coming back to me and snuggling on my
lap...she brought me her ball...the one she loved while here that I brought
home
with her...over and over again to play...they said they don't play ball with
her
and the mom wasn't going to buy her one more toy because she keeps ripping them
up...I would just buy her more toys LOL...isn't that what they are supposed to
do?? When I got up and walked to the front door she started crying and she
tried
to follow me out...they had to pick her up so she didn't come with me...she
cried and whinned...and so did I...till I got in my car. Their son kept saying
over and over again..."man, LuLu LOVES her Mom"!!!!

I don't think these people are dog people like most of us here are...they just
own a dog. I know they love her and they are very nice people...but she would
have been happier here I just know it...not to be poopie at all...but she would
have been spoiled rotten here...not just a dog! Both adults work outside the
home all day and the son was home from college...so she is alone a lot! She
would never have been alone here! LOL!!!

I really gotta stop thinking that way...she is home where she belongs...I just
miss her a LOT!!! I can not believe how different everything seems without her
here...

Ye gads... if I saw a dog react that way to me, then I would feel really bad
too.  (actually, I did once and it too was a Yorkie....long story)  What a
roller coaster of a day for you. I don't like people like that...if you are not
a real dog person then you shouldn't have one.  I was surprised to hear that
they wanted to breed her. That's sad too, because it doesn't sound like they
know enough about dogs to breed.... Nuts...another backyard breeder!  Sorry,
Deanna, I just had to say that!

Did they ever explain how she got lost in the first place? She will always hold
a special place in your heart, but you are right, you are like me.... we would
make crummy rescuers because we would never let them go!
