My cockatoos Buddy (layed an egg ITS A GIRL) LAST ownerwas never around she would boarded him ALL the time. this bird just need some attention. Oh and she was feather picking when i first got her. Now she has really nice feathers :) and is the SWEETEST big girl. My green cheek conure Teole he came from unwanted home the owner could no longer take care of him. poor baby. Im happy i took him in he is SO SMART. My quaker parrot TAZ, He is the newest member of my family. Taz LAST owner could not handle his biting, she could not touch the toys, food, cage etc.. She had to take him out of the cage with a towel. He stayed with me a week and its a new bird. I clicker train him. teole lets me touch his cage, food etc. He even know tricks now like put a ball in a basket, turn around, put money in a bank etc:) Oh and the bird came with a ugly broken round cage. I hate to get him a nice Big king cage :) Im very good in training birds but dog is another story. not that good. My bird have there OWN room, with radio, a table to do tricks, closet full of stuff, Princess clothes closet lol etc.. I SPOIL my pets. I live in montreal Quebec canada where are u at? have u try clicker traning your bird? My conure and quaker didnt like each other at first and NOW i cant even take them apart. Sometimes she need to watch out with 2 diff animals. Also maybe your parrot is jealous. is ur dog jumppy? there is a reason why he doesnt like her. take a chair and sit my your bird In th cage. take your dog on your lap and SING! im telling you this works, sing your heart out also talk to them like a baby and give them a treat. One for bird, one for dog, one for bird , one for dog. If u have to start offer with your bird then u need to. Use a glove. Birds are smart. Try clicker training him.
