Thats great that u can sit by him. Try perching traning him to step up.. USE A GLOVE... an say yes, good boy. or click and treat. dont give him your hand to pet him just hold the stick and talk to him. If you see hes good move a step or to and then back to his cage. Give him a treat that he likes but only for traning. my birds love AVIcakes so thats there traning tricks.
