Shanna...I think both of you could be correct. There are many cases of it getting worse and probably the same number that don't. This is just one of those issues that is not black or white. Personally I would try everything to avoid surgery as it is not always successful...and if there is no pain...no issue...then why fix what is not a problem? There is no harm in the wait and see approach to this...and I, like you want to try everything I can, naturally first. It would be CRAZY irresponsible to me to not try to find help or answers when there are things available...natural supplements etc. And...just as foolish in my book to not take precautions when you can. I wouldn't go crazy protective...I would let her be a dog...but you could bet jumping off of things...jumping up and down...entering her in agility would not be something I would do.
