Gloria, I never had a poodle but my Aunt had one that bit me as a child..lol he was a stinker.. I use to walk a neighbors poodle and just loved him. I think the grooming thing too is what has kept me from having one.. Beth

To: [email protected] Date: Thursday, January 13, 2011, 1:20 PM I had dogs as a child but they were outdoor dogs. I didn't have an indoor dog until I married and my husband and I got a poodle. We had poodles throughout our 45 years of married life. When he died unexpectedly, his little poodle mourned him as much as I did and she died of cancer 8 mos later. I waited almost a year and decided I had to have a dog in my life, but didn't want one that had to go to the groomers. I did research and decided a Chihuahua was what I was looking for. Gloria
