The grooming factor was on my mind too. I was a professional groomer and all the dogs I had were grooming dogs. I decided that I have spent most of my life grooming dogs, and enough is enough...now I spend every day grooming my carpets instead! I had dogs as a child but they were outdoor dogs. I didn't have an indoor dog until I married and my husband and I got a poodle. We had poodles throughout our 45 years of married life. When he died unexpectedly, his little poodle mourned him as much as I did and she died of cancer 8 mos later. I waited almost a year and decided I had to have a dog in my life, but didn't want one that had to go to the groomers. I did research and decided a Chihuahua was what I was looking for. Gloria
