Be careful when you use the Furminator. It is a stripper, not a de-shedder like they advertise. Any good groomer will attest to that. A de-shedder only removes dead loose hair. A stripper cuts and pulls out and will thin good healthy fur. To the novice, it looks like the dog has a lot of dead hair. If you look at the commercial, no healthy dog, no matter what the breed would loose that much fur in just one brushing unless the fur was being stripped, or the dog was very sick.
