I have a furminator small size that I used on my long hair chihuahua now i use it on my rescue dog I also used it on my smooth coat brussels griffon and it worked fine i havent used it on my new chihuahua yet I found it to be great and it got all the loose hairs off and the dogs didnt mind you doing it to them the small one i have also said it was suitable for cats and other small animals but not suitable for dogs who dont shed & need trimming like poodles Vicky
