My two chis have opposite problems from each other. I have Jack, who sheds A
LOT, and then little Twiggy, my five year old Chi, who’s hair I would love to
see grow a little. When I adopted her, the rescue worker told me that she has
a spot on her back that gets rubbed a lot by sweaters that she wears. So, the
hair is thinner in that area. I’ve asked the vet about it because it is so
thin and she says it’s really nothing to worry about. Is there something I can
use to help that hair grow in that one certain spot? Does anyone else have
chis that are like this? Her hair around her tail and neck area is thick and
healthy looking. That spot on her back is the only place that her hair is
really thin.

I have a furminator small size that I used on my long hair chihuahua now i use
it on my rescue dog I also used it on my smooth coat brussels griffon and it
worked fine i havent used it on my new chihuahua yet I found it to be great and
it got all the loose hairs off and the dogs didnt mind you doing it to them the
small one i have also said it was suitable for cats and other small animals but
not suitable for dogs who dont shed & need trimming like poodles Vicky
