Peggy, I too wondered how Gigi was doing.  Since you hadn't  mentioned the 
problem lately, I hoped that meant that she was doing  better.  Glad to hear 
that she is.  To treat for fleas, I no longer  use any of the ones that 
come in a tube and are put between the dog's shoulders,  because Emiliano had a 
reaction.  So, now he takes flea and heart worm  prevention meds in a pill 
form and he takes them well.  If you are  interested in a natural treatment, 
I once (when I had a flea infestation and a  larger dog)  used live 
nematodes and spread them all over my back yard  (they eat the fleas).  Then I 
bought Diatomaceous  Earth (powdered) which I was told to dust around the dog 
bed and the  base boards in the den (room where the dog was allowed).  Then I 
put some  of the powder in a sock, tied a knot at the top of the sock and 
used the bottom  part as a powder puff to dust the dog with.  I treated the 
bed and dog  daily until I no longer saw fleas on the dog.  It worked.
