Hello: What is the Chi water intake ? Any hair loss ? Any hair that will not grow back ? Random peeing or lots of peeing that seems to be out of control at times may point to Cushings. If you Chi is drinking lots of water and just likes to pee at random and seems to not be able to hold it in, has hair loss or hair that does not grow back, extend belly - all may point to Cushings. So far what you wrote it does not sound like it is but the vet can do blood work if what I described fits your Chi. If your Chi does turn out to have Cushings, e-mail me and I can let you know what to expect.

This has happened a couple of times. When I take my Chi out for a walk she doesn't pee or only goes a little. My daughter just came down and said she laid in her bed and pee'd . One night she was on my lap and all of a sudden my pant leg was wet ( and not a little )she looked like " what did I just do ? ! " I have pads on the floor and picked up some spray for her to "go here" but she sniffs and walks away. She has been coming to me and jumping on me and I do take her out but she just sniffs and walks away. I don't want to take her out at 4 a.m. and freezing out there even with a coat on and all that snow ! So I try to get her to use the pad. Is there anything I can give her or do before she gets to the vet ? Thanks Sandy
