*Mare, when I had my stroke I woke in the morning feeling fine and kept the 2 young grandsons--around mid day I started saying words that I did not mean to and did not belong. When boys left early afternoon I put on pajamas and went to bed. Did not know anything else till I came too in hospital 4 days later. And could not talk. had small clot which went away quickly. I could not walk when I came home from hospital but speech was returning . and within 10 days I was walking . But I cried all the time and my wonderful doctor told me this was normal. But graDUALLY LIFE did return to normal but some memory is gone and don't walk the same. But I walk everyday--go to large store and get a cart and walk. I will not give in and my puppies keep me going. I take Plavix everyday and blood pressure pills and diabetic pills and I hate it !!! but know I have to do it. My family has been so wonderful to me. My grand daughter stayed with me some nights and also my sons. Grand daughter is in her 3rd year of teaching 8th graders English and Language Arts.*
*I am so lucky--I know with out a doubt that I died and went to a black hole in hell and came back. Doctor said my good health is what brought me through.* *Thank you God and family.* *Aren't we the lucky ones??????? I will be 79 in June* *Ann * On Fri, Feb 11, 2011 at 4:15 PM, Mare <[email protected]> wrote: > > > *Thank you Joan* > *Yes I knew they were going to die but you know both of them were so > strong in their lives I still was shocked to realize even they could succumb > to death.
