I reread what you wrote.

If keeping up to just the expense of everyday life has become a major
problem for you, then, perhaps you should consider not breeding any
more litters. As much as you may like having puppies, it really
isn't fair to the Chihuahuas.

I don't know what State you live in, but many States have a Puppy
Lemon Law. So if the new owner decides the pursue the matter, you
may legally be responsible for the vet bills on this sick puppy that
you sold. It will depend on if the pup was ill before the purchase
(as you did indicate in your original post). As for the matter of
the pup also possibly having a congenital problem, I'm surprised that
an owner of just 5 days wouldn't want to return it for a full refund
ASAP. Something is off there.

In this situation, the return of the pup seems to be the best
solution for everyone. Except for maybe the Chihuahua baby. The
best thing for that pup would be to remain with whoever can love &
take the best care of it.

Meanwhile, I hope all the puppies from this litter - with you or in
new homes - all manage to get better and go on to live long, healthy lives.

AS far as heat.....at these temps, my bill is already near 400 a mo....if I was
a byb and making a killing off these dogs I maybe could raise it and pay the
1000 a mo it would cost me to keep it on say 70, but since I do NOT make any
money on my pups, I, like everyone else in this economy, am doing the best I
can......
