Yeah.

I looked and looked for a hard floor cleaner…I finally found the Hoover
FloorMate. It does a good job of cleaning my tile floors. I have the Oreck
Steemer and it does an awesome job with the floors but it is heavier and when I
use it, I really have a few days down with my back. When I got the Hoover
FloorMate I saw that the floor was getting dirty very soon after cleaning it.
So, I was wondering why the Oreck cleans and it lasts longer…and the answer was
rinsing with water. The Oreck has a scrub and then a rinse setting. So, I
started putting a little Oxyclean in the FloorMate and it cleaned good, but
still got dirty fast. So then I would run pure water after that it did make a
difference. I used a little Simple Green in it the last time and my floors
were shiny for a long time…and I did not rinse with clear water.

I think that, at least with the Hoover, the cleaner makes the floors look dirty
faster and then you clean more often and buy their cleaner more often. Rinsing
with Hot Water removed most of the residue with the other cleaners.

I have carpet in the bedroom and Desi has made a mess of it. I got some
Fizzion and used it today. Desi vomited some yellow fluid on the bedspread
yesterday and I think it was Desi that had diarrhea on the carpet last night.
I used some of the Fizzion on the carpet and it did a good job and supposedly
the CO2 removes the uric acid in the carpet and padding. I did it where I had
used some other cleaners and it has to be done a couple times because there are
more layers of residue and stain to go through. I am going to get some sort of
laminate in the bedroom and I think that both of my dogs will never think of
going potty on it because it is not soft and comfy for them. If they do, I
will start the water in the spray bottle to stop them from doing it. Desi was
a nightmare as a puppy. He could pee every 10 minutes…a lot of times on the
puppy pads, but I think when he was busy playing he didn’t want to have to go
to the pads and he would stand still and pee on the toys. Really senseless, as
he didn’t want to play with the toys after he did that!

Yes, it works on carpet and all other floors also. you can switch between
carpet and bare floor. It is amazing for pet hair. Dyson will let you return
any product you don't like. They are expensive but for me worth every cent

I'm also in need of a new vacuum, does the all floor mean it works on carpet
and tile floors? and good for pet hair? It sounds to good to be true.

My Dyson is a Dyson All Floors. I love it. It has tons of attachments and a low
under the furniture piece also. It is so light weight too

A Lindhaus is a Swedish vacuum...it's my upstairs one and has tools on board. I
bought it because of my parrots...lots of seeds, nuts, feathers and tiny wood
chunks. It handles everything really well including bird molting fluff. It has
been going strong now for 7 years and is always trustworthy...the only thing I
have ever come close to the power and reliability of my Kirby...but kirbys are
sooooooo heavy and have no inboard tools. The Lindhaus is very light!!

I had a Kirby years and years ago when they use to sell them door to door.
Don't think they do anymore, at least not here anyway. Never heard of a
Lindhaus

Okay, I am taking a much needed survey.....My Hoover died today thanks to
Princess's gorgeous fur!

Not only did I clean out the part where the belt goes and had to use the dog
comb to get all the fur off of the brush, and changed the belt, but then when I
opened the motor, I was shocked to see that everything was embedded with her
fur. So I need a machine that can really suck up her fur without killing it's
motor guts, lol!

What Brand and Model# do you all use? Are you very happy with your vacuum
cleaner, especially for dog fur?
