Yeah…my little ones sleep with me too. Dolly usually sleeps wrapped in her blanket, and I try to get Desi to do the same. He likes to sleep between the flannel top sheet and fitted sheet. So, it is not so bad because the sheets get washed regularly anyway.
I would try using the Pledge fur remover. It is a small handheld thing that you roll over the blanket and it does pick up the hair from my pants, from my couch and it even picks up all of the lint and/or pieces of small paper that is on the couch. There are two rollers and a see through top to know when it is full. I have heard that when the clear receptacle is full that the rollers can be popped out to empty and then put back to use again. I think that it would work real good on the blankets. My neighbor has a dog with longer hair and before she washes the dog’s blankets she uses one of the rolling lint removers where you remove some of the sticky sheet each time. That doesn’t really work really good for me, though. When I take it out of the dryer, I don’t see it. Sometimes…if the laundry is mostly Dolly & Desi’s clothes, blankets and toys I usually see some of Desi’s dark fur inside the washer. When I get it out of the dryer, I don’t see any hair. I have the front loaders and I use Cheer Free & Gentle and a little Oxyclean liquid. When I put it in the dryer, I use the All sheets that are fragrance free also. I clean the lint filter and there is a lot of hair mixed with the lint. For my upholstered furniture, I use those Pledge Lint removers that have two rollers and it picks up the hair really good and also other little lint and stuff that happens there. But, when I say Dolly & Desi shed it is probably no where near the amount that some of you with LH have. Even at walmart. I will have to think about it. Thanks for the information. I had a doxi before and never had a problem with fur like I do now. I have tried downey fabric sheets in the dryer and still have hair (fur) on my clean laundry. I have a fuminator, I think it is a little hard for her little body. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I bought it because of my parrots...lots of seeds, nuts, feathers and tiny wood chunks. It handles everything really well including bird molting fluff. It has been going strong now for 7 years and is always trustworthy...the only thing I have ever come close to the power and reliability of my Kirby...but kirbys are sooooooo heavy and have no inboard tools. Not only did I clean out the part where the belt goes and had to use the dog comb to get all the fur off of the brush, and changed the belt, but then when I opened the motor, I was shocked to see that everything was embedded with her fur. So I need a machine that can really suck up her fur without killing it's motor guts, lol! What Brand and Model# do you all use? Are you very happy with your vacuum cleaner, especially for dog fur?
