Joan, if that kibble is 2 years old then it could be contributing to the
problem. Just a thought because dog food does go bad.

That's just what he said.

I have a bag of the ID kibble from almost two years ago. Dolly won't eat
it, so when Desi has diarrhea it takes it away pretty quickly. Dolly won't
eat it, so I give her a little canned food with a little pumpkin and some
pedialyte.she likes it. She is having some poopy problems.I just came home
from a walk with Dolly & Desi. She pooped three times and the first part
looked OK and then there was a little of a yellow/orange color.and then the
next time it was the yellow/orange color and more wet, and then the third
time it was more wet than the time before. I have to put her on the pumpkin
diet again. Usually she goes potty in the back yard and I can see that she
is pooping, but that makes it hard for me to see if she was the one with
diarrhea. Desi had the yellow bile that came up a few days ago, that is why
he is on ID right now. I just assumed the diarrhea was his because he was
sick, but maybe it is Dolly that is sick. A little pumpkin and pedialyte
isn't going to hurt her. I just wonder what the two of them have been
eating outside.I may just take a sample of her droppings and have it looked
at. She shouldn't have worms.but she is the one that had colitis when she
was a baby!

It seems kind of silly to go and buy some I/D Science diet for diarrhea.
Most diarrhea is of a short nature. If it is a long and constant thing then
there are underlying issues.

I messaged my vet about the diarrhea:

The I/D diet by Hills is the best to stop diarrhea. I am not a big fan of
Pepto Bismol i do not think it works well for dogs with diarrhea. I would
try chicken and rice or I/D and make sure the pet is free of parasites. If
that is not working i would have the pet seen.
