I am so glad you were able to recue her.  I wish I could save them all too but one person can only do so much.  We resuced one of our chis 5 years ago and got attached so we kept her.  I hope she continues to do well.

It went well, they want to wait on the shots for a couple weeks. They did give her some worm med. Checked her as about a year old. Take her back in two weeks.

Just an update on the little rescue! She is doing great! No more diarrhea! She is eating good, doing well with my dogs. Still a little protective of her space and food. But I think she will learn that she won't have to fight for food.  She sleeps so quiet in her soft crate.  She was out enjoying the weather this weekend when I was out doing yard work.  Before she would just cry and want to go in the house.  We spent most of the day painting my new chicken coop, and she was sunning her self.  She is getting very attached to me... I don't want to get attached to her, but you all know how that is..LOL

A person who knows I am crazy for Chihuahuas, sent me this.  This baby is in a shelter about 40 minutes from me.  It says she's a mix and I don't know her age and she's not spayed but oh, it breaks my heart to see the photo of her living conditions.  I may have to go check her out, get her and then try to find a good home for her.
