I forgot to mention, that if you try this method, you may want to practice
first, so that you don't waste any of the pills.
I found that if you hold their head straight up and put the syringe tip in
the side and towards the back and on top of the tongue, it usually goes
makes them swallow, plus rub their neck up and down while their head is
still straight up.

It's wonderful to hear that he is getting back to normal....Way to go
Monster!

Geezz, it sounds like you have tried everything!
When I had my female maltese, she was the same way, her heart meds only came
in pill form. So I bought sterilized water, and a pill crusher. I wood put
the crushed pill in a syringe and add just a couple of drops of the water,
shake it and shot it down her mouth.

The sterilized water is important because they claim that the chlorine in
drinking water can reduce the potency of meds.

Also ask your Vet if any of the meds come in oral form. If so, you can use a
syringe and squirt it down.

Monster is still doing good today. He's learning a LOT of self control. I am
having problems giving him his pills though. Last night I put them in his
chicken and he just gobbled them up because he was really hungry. Today, I'm
having to shove it down his throat. He fights me and it took me about 3
tries to get them down him. I hate having to do that, especially since he's
taking 4 different kinds and 2 of them are 2 to 3 times a day. I've always
had this problem with him but I've never had to give him so many pills so it
wasn't a big deal. We've tried putting it in canned food, cheese, pill
pockets, treats, and more and he will eat everything but the pill. Anyone
have any suggestions of what I could put the pills in? I almost tried my
oatmeal this morning but I didn't know if that would be good for him. Also,
each time we tried something new, it would work the first time but not again

Thanks,
Lorena
