one thought... did you crush the pills prior to putting it in things?
We used cheese for one dog and peanut butter for another (long time ago).
another loved a dab of cool whip and still another yogurt... don't know it
any
of those things were good for them but it was only a dab and it did get the
pills taken. I had better luck with dogs with big mouths when it was time to
pop one in there <LOL> take em by surprise, I did <ggg>

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Giving pills

Monster is still doing good today. He's learning a LOT of self control. I am
having problems giving him his pills though. Last night I put them in his
chicken and he just gobbled them up because he was really hungry. Today, I'm
having to shove it down his throat. He fights me and it took me about 3 tries
to
get them down him. I hate having to do that, especially since he's taking 4
different kinds and 2 of them are 2 to 3 times a day. I've always had this
problem with him but I've never had to give him so many pills so it wasn't a
big
deal. We've tried putting it in canned food, cheese, pill pockets, treats, and
more and he will eat everything but the pill. Anyone have any suggestions of
what I could put the pills in? I almost tried my oatmeal this morning but I
didn't know if that would be good for him. Also, each time we tried something
new, it would work the first time but not again.

Thanks,
Lorena
