I have read that and I try.  He's so hyper.  I watch his food and I can tell if
he eats any because I don't put much.  I tried feeding him egg.  He can't eat a
whole one maybe half.  I cook him chicken and brown rice with mashed fresh
carrots.  Turns his nose unless it's on MY plate.  He like wing tips but that's
not much meat.  Is it ok to give him ONE dinner mint if I think his blood sugar
has dropped a lot?  I'm talking about the real small pastel soft ones.

He's free feed?

Maybe you can sit him down, offer him his food, encourage him to eat.
Entice him. :O) At this age, he needs to eat at least 2 meals per
days, a midafternoon snack and a bedtime snack. IMHO.

I personally would not feed them IAM's. It's a very low quality food.
There are much better dog foods on the market.

I would not do this, I think it could lead to pancreatitis.
