In the City of North Las Vegas, after the first one-year license and rabies shot, then they do it every three years.

To my knowledge a lot of the Northeastern states like NY, CT, NJ require a three year shot. Where as most of the southern states require a yearly shot. You would have to Google for the state that you are interested in and look up their Animal Control Ordinances. I have seen certain Towns, not the Cities in the Southern states that require a 3yr, where as other Towns want a 1yr, but I don't remember what the town names are. I do not know how the Western and Midwest states regulate it. You would have to Google for more info, sorry! -------Original Message------- From: [email protected] Date: 3/25/2011 5:24:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] rabies Peggy, may I ask do you know which states the rabies vaccine is NOT mandatory every 3 years? You're so knowledgeable on such a large variety of subject in regards to the furry ones. Thanks. Lynn In a message dated 3/22/2011 9:44:25 P.M. Unfortunately, the law dictates that they must be vaccinated against it every year or every three years, depending on what state you live in.
