Hi Kari, Welcome to the group, it was nice to see your chihuahua crew. I live alone with my 6 chihuahuas (Nyala 17, Timon 12, Sweetie 7, Rosie 6, Teddie 6, and Sunshine 6) in Northern California. Where do you live?
Sorry to hear about Pollies enlarged heart, I have learned to live with mine having luxating patellas, back problems and collapsing wind pipe. Just wasn't expecting the heart murmur. My name is Kari. I live alone with my 5 Chihuahuas--Piper, Pollie, Presley, Peyton and Paris. Pollie was born with all kinds of deformities and I didn't know until she was about 8 months old that she was so messed up. She was born with deformed hips, legs, knees, trachea, spine and an enlarged heart. I just found out about the heart problem last year. She's had two hip surgeries so that she can walk. Her heart is so large it takes up more than 50% of her chest cavity. She's on Enalapril for her heart every day and so far she's doing well. She's got a murmer too. I understand how you feel about your baby. if she only had the heart murmer and not the giant heart, my vet said she could live for many years to come like that. Pollie is the smallest white Chi.
