Hello Everyone,

Charlie got snapped at today by a slightly larger dog. He wasn't really hurt, a
scratch or two and me so scared I nearly passed out, but it drove home my point
to the husband about Charlie needing someone his own size around. He's gone
from 'no way are we getting another dog' to 'I'll think about one if we think
it'll be okay'

So my question is this.... when you added a second chi, how did it go? Charlie
is very bonded to me but he loves everyone, can literally be held by anyone,
loves every dog he's met, loves kids. He is my baby boy. Is adding a second one
silly? I mean he has dogs he can occasionally play with but most every dog is
WAY WAY bigger than he is. He's only 4 lbs and a cobby so he's small. I think
he'd be thrilled to have a sibbling but I worry about him feeling jealous. I
worry I won't love another chi as much as I do him and it won't be fair.
Charlie goes nuts for other dogs and wants to play with them so much but, like,
my favorite time of the day is driving home from work. I'll put my seat back
and my feet up ont he dashboard while the husband drives and Charlie comes and
lays down with his nose against my neck and we snuggle. Will I lose that with a
second chi?

I'm so conflicted. I think Charlie would do so well with a sibling but we're
happy now and its good and I don't want to screw that up.

Help? Advice?

Thanks,
Sarah
