All I can do is relate my own experience.    We have had Benjigirl for a year (a rescue and now she is 5)...   nearly 6 weeks ago we brought home Tilly who is about the same age (another rescue).   They are best friends and it is working out beautifully.     Like you we were on and off and pro and conning it to death...  whether to get a friend for Benji or not.  What it would do to the dynamics of the household etc etc etc....      one day we'd say yes... let's go for it and then we'd think about all the cons and we say lets forget it...    Then, one day it dawned on me.    Do not get another dog because you think that the one you have needs one.     The only reason to get a second dog is because you want one <G>    Not for your dog but for you. Then things took on a different note...    and soon we got Tilly....    and we are so pleased that we did.   I can for sure tell you that you can easily love two...    or three or four or more .....      Good luck, Sarah....     it really is a journey with these two little girls that we are  enjoying...   and so are they. I'll put my seat back and my feet up ont he dashboard while the husband drives and Charlie comes and lays down with his nose against my neck and we snuggle. Will I lose that with a second chi?   I'm so conflicted. I think Charlie would do so well with a sibling but we're happy now and its good and I don't want to screw that up.   Help?
