You don't know me propably cause I don't mail much. I had to look up what an American eskimo dog was Sorry I had never heared about that breed. What is an LH?
You wont find many chi's in rescue homes here? I think it has to do with the money these little dogs cost. Converted to your currency they cost about $2200. Sadly we do have these shops that sell dogs from ,gosh now I cann't come on the correct word; I mean dogs that are bred just for the breed like so called theacups, pups that are bred by breeding with brothers, sister and parent dogs
Since 2009 the Chi is the best sold dog here.On 2nd place is the Jack Russel and on 3 place the labrador.
I have 3 dogs but only one Chi and he is the smallest but the most dominant of the 3 (LOL) My oldest dog is an American-canadian sheppard called junior 13 years old a female, then i have a crossbread Rakker a male about 6 years old and Vlekje male to is 1y 8 mo old. He thinks Junior is his partner when she is in heat(LOL). Rakker is scared of him then (LOL)
I don't believe that being more open or not comes from the fact you are Christian or not. I think it has to do on how you are raised in Christianity and also on the fact on how conversvative the people that raised you in Christianity are. That doesn't mean it is bad it is just different then what we are used to and then I don't mean you are not open to new things though.
You propably didn't hear of it but many bad things happened here in church done by priests over the years so many turn there face away of church. But I do think a true believer doesn't need church to be Christian.
Hi Mieke! I don't think I have ever met you before. Belgium....wow that is so interesting.
My name is Peggy and I have two rescues, Princess is a Mini American Eskimo and Gigi is a LH, 6 1/2 lbs. Princess will be about 7, on May 30 and Gig about 7 on July 18. Princess was found on the streets by Animal Control, and placed in a Shelter which is where I found her when she was under 2 yrs old. Gigi originates from a Backyard breeder and I rescued her last summer.
I really don't know much about your country, but would love to hear about it. Do you have a lot of Chi's in shelters and Rescue homes, like we sadly have here? What are the most popular dog breeds in Belgium?
How many chi's do you have? I would love to see pics of them and learn all about them too.
I remember once reading that the European people are much more open about such matters as you mentioned in another post. For me and others that I know that are more reserved, I believe the reason is that as Christians we are taught to be reserved as this is what the Good Lord instructs us to do in the Bible which is His Word. I think for others here in the states that are not as reserved about such matters may be because they do not have strong Christian beliefs, even if they too claim to a Christian, they are not living the life of one. Different folks.....Different strokes, or so they say. JMO
Hope you enjoy the group,
Peggy & The Girls

Hello Cate welcome here. Sorry to hear you had to go true such an ordeal. I learned that you have to be very carefull in what to share in groups and what not depending on the country and believes. Until now I have never encountered a problem here. I don't write a lot as I also live abroad in Belgium and many food products, meds, shelters and law issue's are unknown to me. But I hope you will feel welcome here.

Hi my name is Cate, I reside in Australia and proudly own 3 purebred chihuahuas. I have had rather a bad experience trying to join a previous yahoo group in the recent week, was harrassed by the moderator because she didnt like my answers on the pending membership form..which included a new litter of pups and an intact male (which has now been neutered) I was blamed and shamed and hounded literally even to the point where the moderator was going to contact my place of work where she tracked me down on facebook...all this has left me bewildered as to what the groups actually stand for..I thought sharing experiences and gaining knowledge would be the framework of a group of this nature. We do not have a high rate of dumping in the country town where i reside nor in the bigger capital cities of our state.. All I want to do is to join a group and learn and share information on this highly individual breed..thank
you
