Me too! Oprah has helped me grow in so many ways. I have laughed with
her, cried with her, felt hope with her, looked into my soul and discovered
what was there and worked on what wasn't because of Oprah; whatever will we
do without Oprah every afternoon at 4 p.m.? (that's our time slot for Oprah
here.)

I would have also loved to have been on that trip to Australia with Oprah.
I have a writing friend in Australia, who I adore that is deeply
committed to her dogs, her large and small tropical birds (parakeets fly
around in
the trees there as casually as our robins and blue jays), world peace. She
has given me glimpses and insight into Australia that have been very
exciting and so interesting (such as they have actual snake patrols that come
zooming to her home whenever her birds scream danger.) So many things I
would never have learned or become aware of about Australia, a beautiful
country with a stunningly beautiful and varied landscape, without her
endearing
and close friendship.

I agree, I don't think that there will ever be such a giving TV hostess
again. I would have loved to be in that trip too!

Hi my name is Cate, I reside in Australia and proudly own 3 purebred
chihuahuas. I have had rather a bad experience trying to join a previous yahoo
group in the recent week, was harrassed by the moderator because she didnt
like my answers on the pending membership form..which included a new litter
of pups and an intact male (which has now been neutered) I was blamed and
shamed and hounded literally even to the point where the moderator was going
to contact my place of work where she tracked me down on facebook...all
this has left me bewildered as to what the groups actually stand for..I
thought sharing experiences and gaining knowledge would be the framework of a
group of this nature. We do not have a high rate of dumping in the country
town where i reside nor in the bigger capital cities of our state.. All I
want to do is to join a group and learn and share information on this highly
individual breed..thank you
