What an adorable photo, Gloria. Who wouldn't love that sweet, little face?
I currently have two 16 year olds (going on 17). They are Blazin's
nieces out of his litter brother Fuzz. Blazin' and Fuzz are the 5th
generation of my breeding. Thus, the 16 year old girls are 6th
generation Brite Star on their father's side of the pedigree. One is
the 8th generation Brite Star on her mom's side. The other would be
10th generation IF all the generations had been my breeding. Four
of those 10 generations were bred by other show breeders out of my
bloodlines before the bloodlines again came home to my line
again. Both of my 16 year old girls recently (during the past 6
months) lost her moms who were 18 and almost 20. I miss their moms
so much... The longer a Chi owns you, the more it becomes part of your heart.
The only down side of loving a Chihuahua is having to someday say
goodbye. That day really hurts.
I can't image having one of the Giant Breeds where their life
expectancy is only 7 or 8 years.

I am the Senior in my house, my little guy Emiliano will be 3 years
old on November 12th, so arrangements for him have been made in my
will. Robert has an older Chi named Jane Jane, he also had the
mother, father, and I believe a sibling (now all deceased). If I
remember correctly, Jane Jane is 16 and until hearing about Blazin, I
think she was the Senior dog in our list.
